Wood and WPC decking range
The PX DECK decking shop includes boards and substructures in different lengths. All decking boards are harmonised so that all boards can be installed with the same clip fasteners. Planks and click tiles for floating installation are integrated in the material composite in the shop. All click tiles are compatible with each other and can be combined as desired.

The domestic Douglas fir is widely used as decking wood. As an untreated solid profile, it forms the price entry point both as decking and as a substructure. The planks are available in a smooth or grooved design. They are installed with visible screws. The wood comes from Central European forests and is offered in falling qualities. Details on designs, substructure, accessories and tiles can be found in our brochure.
Pressure impregnated (KDI) pine is a common garden wood. Pine that is classified as „low durability“ when untreated becomes „moderately durable“ to „durable “ when impregnated. Because pine KDI has high wood moisture content after the process (>18 %) and thus mould can develop during indoor storage, the pine KDI for the PX DIY patio shop is dried. The impregnation is colourless, but with a colour additive our KDI pine is coloured brown or green. Details on finishes, substructure, accessories and tiles can be found in our brochure.
Thermally treated pine has been a standard in the DIY market assortments for years. The fine-grained Nordic pine comes from Finland, where the tempering method was also developed. As a substitute for tropical wood, thermally treated ash is also available in Europe. Thermo wood is „baked“ at > 160° C and is then uniformly brown and more brittle. The colour is not UV-resistant and bleaches out. The thermal treatment provides for better outdoor properties such as increased resistance to fungi.. Details on designs, substructure, accessories and tiles can be found in our brochure.
HPC is an extruded profile. A mixture – 50% consisting of FSC-certified wood dust and 50% consisting of pure, PVC-free polyethylene (PE) – is used for this. The entry-level price for HPC is usually a hollow profile, with flat or grooved decking boards that can be used on both sides. Different embossings can be applied to the surface. HPC can be produced in different colours HPC changes its colour slightly, because the wood particles on the surface change their colour due to the influence of UV light. Details on designs, substructure, accessories and tiles can be found in our brochure.
HPC CoShield® consists of an HPC core made of PVC-free polymer granulate and FSC-certified wood dust: this core is co-extruded with a pure HDPE CoShield® (High Density Polyethylene) plastic layer in a single process. The CoShield® ensures absolute resistance to discolouration caused by UV radiation and staining. This robust protective layer can be produced with a different embossing and/or a different colour on the two sides and, depending on the embossing, achieves an R11 slip resistance.
